Now that I am heading back to the world a bit sooner than I thought it is time to put the scrapping of our last trip into high gear or I will be totally behind and never catch up so you will probably see more layouts here than you have seen lately.

While on our cruise aboard the Disney Wonder in December we were able to attend a private concert by Jodi Benson, who is the voice of the Little Mermaid as well as several other Disney characters including Barbie in the Toy Story II and III movies.

She spent about 90 minutes talking and singing her way through her career before, during and still with Disney. We were totally caught up in her tales and I know I will never listen to “Part of Your World” again without thinking a bit deeper about its meaning and how it was recorded.

She allowed both photos and video to be taken during the show which most performers do not do so of course I took advantage of being able to do both and snapped away.  This first layout are shots taken during her performance:

After the show she was suppose to do a meet and greet for 30 minutes.  The response was so large that the lines literally wrapped around the lobby of the Walt Disney Theater and she stayed (without complaint we are told) for almost 2 hours making sure each person was greeted with the same smile and enthusiasm as the first person was.   Here is the layout I did of my friend Brandie and I meeting her.

Background paper from the Under the Sea kit by Minicake Designs
Font is Elizabeth, bubbles by Lyndsay Riches.  I am not sure who made
the topper as I have had it in my stash for a very long time.
Little Mermaid design is the property of the Walt Disney Company.

It is no secret to anyone who knows me. I HATE winter!!

I don’t dislike it, I HATE it!! It is cold, dreary and dark!

I can’t wear shorts, flip flops or sit in a warm sun by the water! All which are some of the reasons which contribute to my hatred of winter. I simply cannot wait for the day we can drive ourselves, our 20 paws and our belonging permanently south where it is not cold, dreary and dark (except for an occasional slip by mom nature) but until then I trudge along hating winter.

Usually I don’t have much to look forward to as I await winters journey away from here. Not this year though! For the next several weeks I can not only daydream about the warm sunshine I can plan for it! That’s right we are heading back to WDW!!

It’s actually not a vacation, it is a business trip for John. His dealership is sending him to Orlando for a three day seminar about something, I really don’t have a clue about what, bur I do know is it is outside Orlando (near Sea World), and it means a free hotel and travel cost reimbursements for him. So what is a girl to do when her husband is getting a trip to Orlando but make it a vacation for herself!! I checked with the SES, got their opinions on crowd levels during this time of year and they convinced me to go for it. So I confirmed the house sitter is available (she is), checked with my boss about leave (he is fine with it ) and I started my packing list!

I actually am getting very excited as I have always wanted to see Epcot during the Flower and Garden show and now I will. I plan to visit every inch of the part, me and my camera, and just take the crowds as they come.

It’s so nice I can go to my warm thoughts as I look at the ice falling outside my window!

Have a great day! For all my SES and other friends in the Midwest, I am thinking of you and hoping you are not completely snow bound for long!
