Normally I would be posting my Digi Scrap layouts for the past week. I did scrap, had 3-4 layouts done and was planning to do more today but it just wasn’t to be.

I plugged in my external portable HD to back it up and it died, no response whatsoever.

We tried several USB cables and plugged it in on three different computers and while the light comes on it just doesn’t respond. So all my layouts are gone and will have to be redone which I really have no desire to do. I also lost some kits, elements and templates but have been able to re-DL’d what I had bought from SSD and am waiting to hear from the other store to get some links reactivated.

This was bad enough, but I have also been arguing with our cable provider since Friday when I came home and had no TV, internet or phone and they kept promising me they would make our issue a priority issue and would be out later in the day, tomorrow, etc. to fix it. So tonight, after calling them for the 5th time I totally went ballistic on them and guess what, they will be here tomorrow am. John did go outside and wiggle some wires this morning after getting frustrated and got us back working so at least it is working for now, but I still need that service call to fix it permanently.

So let’s hope all the tech issues are behind us. I really can’t deal with anymore right now.

Hope everyone has a great week.

I as able to get several more layouts completed this week. My self imposed less time on Facebook and just surfing sites to surf sites it paying off as it works well with more scrapping time.

Duck Donuts to be exact.

While in the Outerbanks a few weeks ago John and I discovered Duck Donuts. What is so special about these particular donuts you say, well let me explain (and show you).

They make the donuts to order. That’s right, as you order they are dropped into the oil, put on a conveyor belt, allowed to cool for a moment and then frosted/dipped per your order. How awesome is that?

They only have one type of batter, it is a yellow cake batter combined with a secret donut batter combo and is just so delicious. For frosting they only offer 6-7 different flavors/varieties and then another 5-6 types of toppings but there are enough choices that you can make many varieties. I believe we ordered Glaze, Coconut and Caramel, Chocolate and Peanuts, and Chocolate Glaze.

I took some pictures while there (bet that doesn’t surprise you :) ) so that you can see them fresh in their yummy goodness.

Seriously, how good do those look? You definitely need to plan a stop by Duck Donuts if you are in Nags Head, they have three locations and are easy to find. Plan on a short wait as the lines are usually out the door in the morning and of course it takes a few extra minutes to get your dozen since they need to actually make the donuts.

I need to get back there soon, I am usually not a donut person but these I can’t seem to stop thinking about.

Have a great evening, I will be back tomorrow with my scrapbook layouts of the week. Until then, take care!!
