Our CSR division decided to have a unique team building contest. It was Dress the Melon and it was so clever and idea.
Basically each team was given a watermelon of like size and shape and had one week to come up with the melon’s alter ego. The most unique design won and I think they got a free lunch at a local restaurant for the entire team.
There really were some creative melon folks designed. There were about 20 in all. Here are some of my favorites:

What you can’t see is that GI Melon is hanging from the ceiling via a fake parachute.
On a serious note, we here in Virginia had an earthquake this week. I work and live just 48 miles from the Epicenter and it was a very weird experience that I do not wish to repeat any time soon. Now we are all prepping for Irene and what her strength and size will do. We are about 180 miles from VA Beach so we should just get the rains and some winds but if it switches just 50 miles east we could be in a world of hurt.
We wish everyone along the east coast being affected by this storm the very best. Please be very, very careful and don’t take chances. It’s not worth it and we want to see you around after the weekend.
