What do you do when the word is put out by three of your craziest girlfriends have decided to trek to WDW over Labor Day Weekend to celebrate a few birthdays and then another crazy friend says she wants to go as well and she has DVC points to be used up?. Well if you are me, you quickly check airfares, make sure you can juggle the budget and then shoot a “I am in” message out to all which is exactly what happened about 6 weeks ago. Within an hour I went from no plans to see WDW until late September to spending 4 days there over the holiday weekend, with airfare reserved and a car rental pending
Fast forward six weeks to last weekend where I found myself getting on a Jet Blue flight for another girls weekend, this time to WDW where the plan was to squeeze in as much fun as we possibly could in four days for 4 of us ladies and two days for the other three ladies. Yes, the originators of this plan were only going to be there for 2 days and yes they were driving from Indy, overnight to make it happen. And they call me crazy. Unfortunately one of our friends was not able to make the trip due to a family emergency and was greatly, greatly missed but she encouraged us to have a great time and party for her. We did our best.
The thing about WDW that those who don’t get will never understand is that it doesn’t matter how many times you travel there because it is never the same trip twice. All you need to do is change up a few things like who you are planning to spend time with (excluding the spouse because that is generally a given, except for girls weekends hehe), make a different park touring plan, eat at a few new places, try a few new things and you get an entirely different vacation each time. This has always been the case for John and I and it proved to be the same this weekend as well. It’s one of the reasons we love to go back time and time again.
I could go on and on about events that unfolded over the weekend but to save time and so as not to bore you lets all just a say a fabulous time was had by everyone and we will be doing it again very soon (I know I heard something about May, a RV trip, and Mateo).
Here though are some of my favorite photos of the ladies and I from the weekend.
A chance run in with Peter Pan

Snow White was all by herself until we found her. Don’t laugh at my princess pose.
I’ve said it before, I have no inner princess in me

Our traditional favorite drinks in France!

Just hanging around the fountains.

Again, nothing about my princess pose please.

The absolute best server to ever, ever grace a table at WDW.
Taken after a epic dinner at Via Napoli which will go down in the history of this group of friends for fun, memories and Mateo

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I knew I would! I wouldn’t change anything we did and would do it again in a heartbeat. I encourage all my friends to step away from the every day once in a while and just go have fun with your friends and be a kid again.
Now to get busy packing for our preplanned (for over a year) Disney Cruise and Food and Wine with Friends WDW trip. We (John and I) leave in 10 days.
Until next time be happy! be safe!
