Here are a few more of the photos from last weekends Renaissance Festival photo meetup.  The young boy in the lower collage, top left stole my heart.  He remained in character the entire day, and while you can’t see it here he had a smile that lit up the place. He really looked like he was having a blast.

Thanks for stopping by.  Take care!

Saturday I finally made it to the Virginia Renaissance Festival.  I have been wanting to check it out for a few years now but never seemed to have the time so when my photo meet-up group scheduled a day of shooting there I jumped on the chance to attend.

The actors are amazing.  You simply cannot get them out of character and they are very quick witted about converting modern day tools to the 1500 language.  The costuming was amazing and if I had the money there was a pirate dress I would have bought in a heartbeat and then used for pirate night on my up coming cruise.  It would have been a silly spend but I can’t stop thinking about that dress (you can see it below (first photo collage top row center)).

The festival is smaller than I thought it would be.  I was able to see it all in just a few hours but of course I was alone and setting my own pace.  I would certainly attend again if given the chance.

Here are just a few of the photos I took:

I didn’t get through all the photos so there will be more later this week I am sure.

Hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for visiting.  Take care!
