Literally had no idea this church existed.  I was out for a drive last month (thus the green grass) and saw one of those roadside signs for a historical landmark next to an old road and decided to turn down the street at the last minute.

This is the Old St. John’s Church in King William County, VA.  It was built in 1732 and has been completely restored.  here wa a sign that said that while no longer an active parish, it was available for weddings and special services..  I think this would be a perfect setting for a small, intimate celebration as the grounds are as beautiful as the building itself.  I would also love to see this church covered in snow.

Thanks for the visit.  Have a great Tuesday.

This is the old Carriage house located on the grounds of the Belmead Plantation.  It is one of only two buildings that remain.
